After three years of extensive study with leaders from around the world, Gwen Webber-McLeod was notified by the International Coach Academy on August 19, 2024 that she completed all requirements to achieve the international designation of Certified Professional Coach (CPC).
Achieving CPC certification was one of her greatest professional challenges. Pursuit of the certification began at the height of COVID. Her journey continued through the growth of Gwen Inc, counterbalancing the personal and professional life of an executive woman leader, and concluded one month after the death of her mother, The Honorable Barbara Webber.
Gwen pursued this certification with strategic intent. She had years of success as an executive coach. However, obtaining this certification enhances the ability for Gwen to take the Unexpected Leader®, her legacy building executive coaching practice to new levels.
Becoming an internationally Certified Professional Coach (CPC) positioned Gwen to deepen, amplify, and refresh skills as an executive coach. She will apply this new learning in her specialized executive coaching services to emerging and established Black women leaders.
Executive coaching helps this important group of leaders develop philosophies, skills, and behaviors needed to successfully navigate being:
- The FIRST Only and Different
- Continually involved in the struggle to gain and sustain credibility
- Focused on developing personal and professional legacies that ensure new generations of Black women leaders follow in their footsteps
Gwen believes executive coaching is the “X Factor” in ensuring Black women act on their birthright to live and lead in and on a self-defined purpose. She is honored to be among those supporting them on the journey to leadership.
