Skilled and Respected Leader
Gwen Webber-McLeod, President and CEO of Gwen,Inc, is a seasoned professional leader with a dream to create a business support for individual leaders. A skilled communicator and executive director in several organizations, Gwen is well known and respected throughout New York State for her leadership spanning a 30 year career.
In Gwen’s work, she has identified a pattern in emerging and established leaders who quietly flounder while attempting to achieve business goals in the midst of significant change, diminishing resources, high expectations and stress. Leaders in organizations often arrive at their positions with technical ability or due to longevity. A gap occurs when technical skills do not extend to strategic relationship building necessary to motivate, mobilize and inspire employees so that can release expertise to the organization. In addition, leaders who are not intentional about developing their own skills, experience feelings of inadequacy, and find themselves at a loss for where to go for help.

Leadership Can Be Lonely and Uncharted
Gwen recognized there is no roadmap for the journey to leadership success. She also saw how isolating the leadership journey can be. In 2008, Gwen had the courage to manifest an idea she incubated for ten years, incorporating gweninc, a company solely devoted to supporting individuals on the leadership journey.
Shortly after, Gwen expanded her business to include The Leadership Connection: A Resource Centered on Great Leadership, offering a regional resource center with a mission to deliver services to emerging and established leaders throughout Western and Central New York. The resource center, located in Auburn, New York, is open to any leader desiring safe, respectful, confidential support as they work to become confident, competent, and courageous as a leader. Programs and services are offered to individuals and groups throughout the year, tailored to the needs of each organization. In 2009, she obtained a trademark for gweninc.
In addition to development of the Leadership Connection Resource Center, Gwen offers consulting services to select clients, speaking engagements on leadership, and is developing a product line called gwenspirationsTM.
Most High Vision
The incorporation of Gwen,Inc and the opening of The Leadership Connection: A Resource Centered on Great Leadership is Gwen’s most high vision for her work.
